The Bottle House Inn
With its weatherboarding, large terrace, hanging baskets and low-pitched tile roof, the historic Bottle House is a handsome sight from outside – the perfect place for eating alfresco during the summer months and spending time with family and friends. And it’s just as nice on the inside, with a low-beamed, cosy bar area and stylish dining room. Throughout the pub, ancient beams have been sand-blasted back to their original, natural glory, while exposed brickwork and neutrally painted walls give the whole place a warm, convivial feel.
The bar area has a warm welcoming atmosphere with low beams and a beautiful copper-topped bar. Behind this, you'll find an excellent range of beers, including local, traditional hand-pumped beers. There's also an exceptional wine list, much of which is available by the glass.
The food on offer is a big attraction for many regulars and visitors to the pub. Choose from either bar snacks and sharing platters to a sumptuous three-course meal. The menu changes every other month to reflect what’s in season, and there is always a selection of daily specials – all making the most of local suppliers and producers wherever possible.
