Our Food
There’s something for everyone on our food menu. Old favourites include a traditional ploughman’s served with homemade chutney and Rusbridge artisan bread, hearty stews and pies, and slow-cooked belly of pork with crackling and apple & cider sauce. Fish dishes range from our fabulous Harvey’s beer-battered haddock & chips to modern classics, such as oven-roasted skate wing with lime and coriander butter. Vegetarian dishes, meanwhile, will tempt the most hardened carnivores – try our mixed bean cassoulet or the parsnip and blue cheese pithivier with a creamy spinach sauce.
All our dishes use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and our menu changes frequently (with chalkboard specials changing daily) to reflect what’s best in season. We are sympathetic to dietary requirements and happy to provide alternative solutions wherever possible.
